I changed the Critters quilt pattern to make "same only different" wall hangings for my twin GDs.
I made the wings free floating to add excitement. And the Christmas I was working on them I went into Joannes and wandered aroung muttering to mysels -- "what does a fiery dragon's breath look like" and "does a unicorn's tale sparkle" I found perfect ribbons for each. Merlin's robe is blue velvet and his hair is white fur. Some day if I know a child I think would like dragons, I will make another. Mim |
Impressive!!

Your "mutterings" certainly payed off in your finished works of art!! Shouts of B-E-A-utiful here

I have never seen anything like that....awesome!

Those are awesome. This "child" would love a dragon quilt LOL. Beautiful work.
|
Really impressive color choices. The fire-breating dragon looks like a real fire-breathing dragon. Great work.

simply gorgeous - did you create your own fabric too? The twins must have been jumping for joy when they saw these!
|
The fabrics were batiks that I had -- One girl is teal and the other is purple -- They were 10 back then and now in their 20s and with SOs -- but their dragons are on their bedrooms in their new digs.
I was so touched when I saw their apartments Mim

I love, love, love this. Have you read "The Dragonriders of Pern"? Your GD's might enjoy this book, too, depending on their age.

Beautiful!! I love them!
