wow, you sure hit the jackpot! congrats on a super studio!

sheila bee 01-27-2011 05:07 PM

Can I come and play !!!???

gwena 01-27-2011 05:09 PM

I thought this look like Minnesota, just gut instinct I guess....the only thing I would add is story boards (layout design boards) on those great big closet doors, otherwise it is perfect...I'm envious. I'd never come out of the room once in there just get lost in my designing and quilting. Thanks for sharing

Delbra 01-27-2011 05:13 PM

The view is as nice as the room.

janiesews 01-27-2011 05:43 PM

Wow! What an awesome space and view too. Enjoy.

Taughtby Grandma 01-27-2011 06:08 PM

I love the big windows, and I noticed the extra space for a friend to sew.

EdieClay 01-27-2011 06:16 PM

What a wonderful space ... you will have a great time sewing in this room.

dixiechunk 01-27-2011 06:33 PM

I would never leave that room if it was mine. Well, unless it didn't have bathroom!

daisey 01-27-2011 06:44 PM

you are lucky..on a lake !

hilda Vest 01-27-2011 07:08 PM

What an inspiring place to create!! Looking out on the lake and dealing with all the quilts that zoom in your head. It's beautiful. Enjoy.

Ann63 01-27-2011 07:14 PM

What day can we come over to sew? Lol.

quiltjoey 01-27-2011 07:21 PM

Not only a "room with a view" but a SEWING room with a view! How fantastic is that!!! I'm a retired RN (after 37 yrs. and taught school a while) and wish you many years of loving a fabulous profession and great career.

sylviak 01-27-2011 07:32 PM

What a great room! My stuff is spread out through two bedrooms (minus the beds) and one walk-in closet. However, that will soon change. We're going to purchase a "storage shed"---a large one--- and fix it up as my sewing/quilting studio. It will have windows and I will have a view of the pasture! I will also be able to get everything out of my bedrooms so they can become bedrooms again and my closet will go back to being a closet. It won't be as spacious as your beautiful area, but I'm looking forward to it. Retirement is great! Good luck with your nursing.

Dee 01-27-2011 07:36 PM

Beautiful! Very happy for you.

JEM65 01-27-2011 07:39 PM

This is an absolutely fabulous space! I love it, and I'm so glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for sharing!

4girlsmimi 01-27-2011 07:43 PM

Your room looks super. Love your view! My DH recently moved out of his man cave and let me have my sewing room in there. Was in a 9x I0 room, now in a 20x24 room. Love all the space I have. Love your big screen tv! Don't have one of those yet! But I do have birthday in August. LOL! Happy quilting!

IDquilter 01-27-2011 08:30 PM

BEAUTIMUSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! What a sewing room, wish I could come and play.

JoanneS 01-27-2011 10:04 PM

All I can say is - WOW!

Becca Bear 01-27-2011 10:20 PM

What a lovely sewing space. I'll bet the view in spring time is fabulous! I would never leave that room if I had it!

Hey Joey-thank you so much for your compliments. It's always nice to find another nurse here (I'm finding lots!)

OKLAHOMA PEACH 01-28-2011 06:52 AM

Wow!

lakesidequilter 01-28-2011 06:53 AM

Well, the room is pretty self-contained. However, LOL--no bathroom yet. When we finally finish the remainder of the lower level, I'll not only have a bathroom a mere few steps away, but also a small kitchenette behind the bar. I told the DH that he might never see me if we get that done! LOL

Have fun in your new dedicated studio! Make sure that you post pics when you get it done.
One thing the DH plans on doing yet for me is to add shelves above the two windows in here so that I can place my nick-nacks, etc. Got to use every bit of space that I can!

Ah your room is absolutely wonderful!! Something I can only dream about. But I will be content with what I have as I am lucky to be able to have my own space at all. Hugs and smilesssss...

Tennessee Suzi 01-28-2011 11:35 AM

iamsuthern2 01-28-2011 02:39 PM

beautiful space and i am so jealous. good luck with the studio and the nursing. i have been a nurse for 12 yrs and love it most days. hang in there. passing the nursing boards is absolutely the best feeling you will ever have.

chuckbere15 01-28-2011 03:51 PM

I think we should crash her place and help her break it in, of course in the summer so we can truly enjoy that wonderful view.

Naiscoot 01-28-2011 05:24 PM

great sewing area.. Lots of stash too. If you are still working, when do you quilt ?

lakesidequilter 01-28-2011 05:27 PM

Oh yeah, I hear you iam...I passed NCLEX last June--I'm still a student tho--because I'm working towards the BSN--all online now.
Also considering going on to the masters degree if I don't burn out b/4 I can get it done.
