WOW! I have never seen such a huge haul from one sale before. Blessings to you for helping the estate price items more appropriately. I am sure the person(s) that bought the quilts is saying they got the deal of a life time right now and not thinking about whether it was honest or not. I think that perhaps the family sold to you not just because of your honesty and integrity, but because their loved one's things were going to someone that cared about her passion as much as she did and they wanted YOU to have them. I know that would be how I'd feel.

Good for you being honest. How sad that those treasures were about given away.

Very nice haul. Always some slug to take advantage of people, I'm so glad you came along and helped them with pricing the quilts. Sounds like you made out like a bandit.

Woof, Woof, you luck dog you! You have a full fall and winter season of quilt supplies and ideas to explore!

Wow, someone got a fabulous deal. Sad that they couldn't get more value for the quilts though. I spy many of the same books in my collection!

Congrats on your haul. Looks like you'll be busy this winter.

Thank you for helping them.
I had a cousin who did the same selling
of his Mom's crochet items.

It's always sad to hear when a talented quilter has passed away and the remaining family has no interest in carrying it on. I have attended several estate sales over the past few months where exactly that has happened and my 'hauls' have been beyond extraordinary.

I'm so glad you found this sale and saved them from giving the things away. I wonder if it wouldn't make sense for those of us getting on in years to pencil in a price on some things and perhaps make a master list with prices for templates, cutters, tables, machines, etc. If we have family we could give it to one of them for safe keeping and they would know the value of our "junque" as some in my family call it.

If you're not a quilter you just have no idea of the worth of things we have.
