Hi, I was so surprised to see the quilt from the July/Aug issue of McCall's Quilting. I designed the quilt and just am so pleased that you liked it and did such a good job piecing and quilting it. Dorothy Ann

Dorothy Ann, I feel honored that you are one of our group and liked my rendition of your pattern. I used some of the fabrics from the McCall's one, but not all. It was a well-done pattern and very easy to piece. I am a fairly new longarm quilter, and this one was easy to quilt.

Congrats on your great quilts, and winning ribbons! Nice job! Love the duckies! :)

sidmona 08-22-2010 06:19 AM

They are all so pretty - I don't know which I like best.

Dorothy Ann 08-22-2010 04:57 PM

Here is the highest compliment I can give you. It looked just like mine! You really did do a good job. It was easy to make wasn't it. You know, when I design something, the thing I try to remember is that I have to MAKE it. All of my quilts are the road not traveled when I start out and then, there it is. Thank you, this is the reward I want, for others to enjoy choosing the design, finding the fabrics and find peace while piecing it. My best, Dorothy Ann
