Love it! The dark squares pull in the border and tie it all together. I love film strips!
|
Beautiful! Love how the black squares in the pattern tie into the border. And, those bits of blue add just a dash of accent colour. Really nice!

Love the beautiful fall colors. Is that a disappearing 9-patch variation?

That's a really sweet fall quilt. Love the border.

Gosh I like this quilt! The colors are like pumpkins, leaves, hints of frost, the deep blue skies of autumn. The pattern makes me wonder what I'm seeing... in a really good way. And that border -- divine! Just a great quilt all together!
|
Just lovely--I, too, really like that border.
|
That's pretty. Love the colors and the pattern.
|
Very lovely fall quilt.
|
How cool is that! Great quilt!

You captured the Beautiful Fall Colors. I like the pop of blue, that reminds me of the pretty blue sky in fall against the changing leave colors. I tried to figure out if your blocks were variations of a pinwheel block. I love it!
|
Wonderful border.
Just love he blues popped into the quilt. Enjoy this beauty.... |
Nice quilt...I have not seen that pattern before and it made up wonderfully in your fabric selection. I, too, love the border.
|
What a lovely quilt. Lucky daughter!

That is a Disappearing 9-Patch, Next Generation. I recognized it because I have made a small quilt like that. Mine started with 5 inch squares, but I recommend larger squares to start with. You make your 9 patch, disappear it (cut it up) and top each smaller square with a square the same size of a tonal (reads solid) RST. Draw a line from corner to corner, not over the black, then sew 1/4 inch from center line. Cut these apart and you have those amazing blocks. Put them together with the tonal points touching. Check the picture, too.
I also love the little squares border. Also, notice that the little black squares all slant the same way in this pattern. Not like in the regular D-9-Patch, where they alternate from one direction to the other. |
Love it! Thanks for posting

Your quilt makes me happy! .....the colors are just perfect and the blue is a lovely touch.....and the pattern you chose for fall is excellent.
