My fancy potholders

Was just having some fun in my sewing room. Trying some of those
new stitches on my sewing machine. It's not perfect but it should
last a while. The hardest part was attaching those loops. Sewing
through 12+ layers of fabric ain't easy let me tell you. At least
I didn't break any needle.

The purple one has matching purple embroidery but it looks black in the picture.

Very snazzy! (You need a vintage machine to sew through multiple layers.)

lynnie 05-17-2017 12:51 PM

they are awesome!! love the Kaffee fabrics. I need to make a few out of batiks too.

QuiltnLady1 05-17-2017 12:59 PM

Cool pot holders. What did you use for filling?

Cute pot holders!

EasyPeezy 05-17-2017 02:44 PM

Thank you.

Quiltnlady1, I used 2 layers of cotton batting and one layer of Insulbrite.

They look too nice to use. Very well done.

AUQuilter 05-17-2017 03:00 PM

What cute potholders! Looks like you and your new machine bonded. Great results.

redquilter 05-17-2017 04:45 PM

bearisgray 05-17-2017 08:54 PM

Really gorgeous. Too pretty to use!

Krystyna 05-18-2017 04:16 AM

Those are lovely!

Karamarie 05-18-2017 04:23 AM

Very nice, a good way to use up fabric. I don't use the loops so don't put them on. I don't know how many still hang their pot holders up like years ago.

twinkie 05-18-2017 04:33 AM

These make great little gifts. Good job.

dms 05-18-2017 05:12 AM

RedGarnet222 05-18-2017 08:13 AM

I really like your new pot holders! They are so colorful.

EasyPeezy 05-18-2017 09:19 AM

Thank you all.

Bearisgray, they are 8.5" square.

farmquilter 05-18-2017 09:28 AM

What a great and beautiful project, a new twist on a plain potholder. They will make nice kitchen decorations, I could not even think of using one for fear of getting it soiled.

Pennyhal 05-18-2017 09:30 AM

They certainly will dress up a kitchen! Love them!

rryder 05-18-2017 09:48 AM

Thank you. I always debate about what size a potholder should be.

JanieH 05-18-2017 10:52 AM

What a great way to try out the stitches on your machine. They are gorgeous!
