My fantasia

Thanks again to faykilgore for posting her fractured fantasia 2 weeks ago. And I agree, the corners were a bear! I ordered the panel online and finished it yesterday. Still staring at it trying to figure out how to quilt it without distracting from the tree panel. It will be a wall hanging so don't want it to sag. Anyone have any suggestions? I almost am thinking of criss-cross lines in a diamond pattern, the lines about 6" apart. Any ideas gladly accepted! Thanks for looking.

Love the looks of this quilt!

I'd prefer straight line vertical quilting for this one. Afraid the cross hatch would detract from it. I think it would be nice with straight lines in the colored "tree" strips at least. Then you could fill in the blue with any type of swirl or meandering (which would match the curved lines of the tree branches. (IMHP I love crosshatch but it just doesn't seem to fit this in my mind.)

Very pretty. I think veritical wavy lines in the center, a meander with leaves for the borders.

I love that effect.

I agree that the cross hatch would detract from it and would choose a vertical line.

It looks really great!

That really came out pretty. For quilting, I would do something very small in the blue only so that the Tree and the border strips stand out. I would match the blue fabric with the thread as closely as possible. Think pebbling, or very small meandering.
