My first black/red/white...

I am so excited to be able to try one of these... a very very very special young man to our family is getting married in June...and I found out the colors for their bedroom is black/white... so I get to make one of these for them. This will be done on point with white sashing and red corner stones. Then a small red border around the entire quilt, then a bigger black border. When done it should be about 106 x 106... I sure hope they enjoy it...
The white fabric with words...is a wedding theme fabric...says love, romance, wedding, marriage etc all over it...I will use that same fabric I think for the backing... Thanks for looking... |
That is gorgeous. I've been thinking of doing a D9P too, in the same colors. Great inspiration for me and a very special gift for your special young man. :-)

Very nice choice of fabric and colours, and I love the split nine patch.. There is also a way to set that block up so it looks like sashing with corner stones. That is very nice as well. I'm sure the lucky wedding couple will love your quilt, I know I would. Thanks for posting. Auntie B.
