My first block

I know its not perfect, I'm quite happy with the way it came out. I had a quilting class this morning at Jo-anns, the 101 class. This is the block I made, for my first block i'm so happy! I can see how easily this can become addicting! :thumbup:

You did an amazing job with your first block! I really like the fabrics you chose as well. Keep it up and you'll have enough blocks for a quilt. :)

Thank you all so much for the kind comments. The great thing was I was the only person to sign up for the class so I basically had a 2.5 hour private lesson for $17! It was great! :)

That is step 1. I would give it a AA++ quilting is like potato chips, you become so addicted, housework goes out the window and piles of fat quarters appear in piles, look out.

i love it! it's going to be beautiful when you have it done! everything is perfect on it. great job and welcome to the most addicting habit there is i think! :) i recently had some pretty intense back surgery and i laid on my side on pillows all smashed up with ice packs and learned to hand sew just to feel the fabric! HA! now im hand quilting it cuz i still can't sit for too long at my machine. ima goner.......
