These are a couple of my first hexagons from my first ever class at my LQS, Richland Sewing Center, in Hurst, Texas. It was so much fun. I met some new quilting friends and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I'll post a pic of the finished quilt. I'm so excited to make it, it won't be long before the pic is up. I'm backing the hexagons in dark purple with a light purple around those, then a 1" gold border to bring out the gold in the print and another 1" border of a pretty green that really makes the greens pop. Ending, of course with a border of my main print then a binding of the dark purple. I have a plan for the backing. That you can see in the finished quilt if you want to look. :) |
This will be STUNNING!

I also have the same fabric to do another OBW (one is on the design wall now). Won't it be interesting to see how our designs differ? Can't wait to see your quilt finished.

Your fabric choice is gorgeous; love the blocks!
I bought most of my machines at Richland Sewing Center years ago when I lived in Keller. Glad to know it's still there, but wonder if it has moved in the past 12 years? Jan in VA |

I love your fabric, and your quilt is going to be really pretty when you get it finished. Please share pictures when you are done with it.

Hi Sheri - your hexagons are just beautiful. I have the same fabric intended for a OBW, but mine has a navy blue background. We are neighbors - I live in North Richland Hills.
