my first D9 quilt....
2 Attachment(s)
A lady at work asked me to make a throw for her 2 grandkids...I've been wanting to do a d9p quilt and showed her various pictures of what they can look like, explaining that each one looks differently depending on the maker and the fabrics used.
She gave me the 2 bolder print fabrics, i added the fuscia, turquoise, and green. I showed it to my friend this morning and she's pleased. She was looking at a picture when the granddaughter saw picture and got all excited about it!! I just need to mark it, baste it, and get it on the frame ~ later this week... Enjoy - and thanks for looking |

Such a bright and cheery quilt. Really nice.
|
i wouldn't have picked the 2 butterfly prints probably, but she let me pick the other fabrics and they really do work....AND i already have the stencils to mark the quilt, i just need to get the pencil i need..Thurs...

I love the colors! What do you use to mark your quilts before putting on the frame?
|
I use the Frixion pen ~ after testing it on the fabrics. This has that dark fuscia pink color and i may use a white pencil that i have. I do wash my quilts before I give them and the last quilt i made the frixion washed out pretty well.
