Okay, someone help me here...does D9P stand for "disappearing 9 patch"? I know of a totally different pattern called "disappearig 9 Patch" or "blooming 9 patch". This pattern I thought was called "tossed nine patch" by Eleanor Burns...I actually bought her pattern. I have also heard it called "broken 9 patch". All these names for the same pattern can be so confusing!!!

cmagee84.....yep it's known as disappearing 9 patch. I think it's the rage on QB right now.
I would like to see your pattern if it different than these?

You can probably go on the "Quilt in a Day" website and find it listed as "tossed nine-patch". I am guessing the technique is the same...make a nine patch and cut into fourths, then toss around and sew back together. My pattern says to keep the center square the same throughout so that all the smallest blocks are the same. It works great for a quick baby quilt.

thanks...this techinque also applies to dp9.
will take at look at this link that you provided too.
