My First Dream Big Panel

I had this loaded on my machine for weeks. Like an artist staring at a blank page. Finally took the plunge. I learned a lot and hope the next one will be much easier.

Fantastic finish! I've been marinating over how-to quilt my dream big panel for two years now - perhaps it's time for me to 'take the plunge' as well. Thank you for the inspiration - very well done!

You did a wonderful job. I like all the different fills, but the little border on each petal ties everything together. Beautiful!

quiltingshorttimer 09-05-2020 08:36 AM

you did an amazing quilting job! Wow--I especially like the two petals where you have an involved motif with dense quilting surrounding it so it really pops! That is a great idea! I have this same panel and I've been stuck because I usually match thread color to the fabric--and just can't figure out what thread colors work on this(I know I'll be switching thread some). What threads did you use?

This was my first panel. I was experimenting. I used glide 40wt thread on top and bottom line in the bobbin.
