you can both design and design and print. It will also print out rotary cutting dimensions, yardage needed for each fabric and templates if you choose, as well as applique patterns, paper piecing patterns. It's awesome! I have EQ5 not EQ6 but when EQ7 comes out, I will upgrade to that!

thanks for the info.

i just read your moving-around-the-country bio. do you want to buy a bridge in brooklyn?

You can scan in your fabric or blocks and something I found that I totally love is to be able to take any picture, import it, and then trace a transparency of it using the drawing tools and snap-to grid measurements. That's how I got the teddy bear block into EQ6, a 24" block from Quilter's Cache.

I've often seen pictures and thought if I could do that picture with fabric...

I have an older Stash CD and don't they come out with one every season with all the designer fabric collections?

Thanks for the link. There are some cool sashing designs there and I'm sure other stuff I'll have to take a look at.

hi pam,
page 257 in book "Serendipity" is about adding borders to blocks. sashing adds to all blocks in entire quilt.
also I find tech support to be quite good, and the video's built into the program is very good too. On my screen videos icon is at top towards the right end of all the icon kind of near work on quilt, work on block, if you look on page 301 in book you'll see the icons and you'lll know which icon you're looking for.

good luck

Pam, that is going to be a sensational quilt. Have fun with your new "toy".

It is fun to play with. My daughter saw a patriotic lap quilt that she liked, very simple large stars and stripes, and it took a few minutes to do it in EQ6.

Me either! I have at least one quilt I want to do before this one but, it will definately get made. I'm using the Coverlet II collection and the deep blue and red is really rich and beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it as it looks more muted online.
