My first finish for 2016
 

I started this quilt last fall, but then got side-tracked by Christmas and the birth of our 1 # 12 oz grandson. I've finally finished it and quilted it all on my new Pfaff Expression that my husband and children surprised me with at Christmas. I love the pattern, and found it on a web site called Gathering Threads - the original pattern, called Emily's Wedding Quilt was in a Fons and Porter's Love of Quilting magazine. That back pattern was one of those "What Was I Thinking!" type of moments. Trying to match the front to the back was more of a challenge than I was prepared for.

Very nice scrappy quilt. Yes, it is very difficult to try to get the back of a large quilt to align with the blocks on the front of the quilt.

I just posted a similar one a few days ago, so of course I love yours. I like the border you used; we skipped the border. Your colors look brighter also and I like the richer look of your colors.

I don't usually care for the wedding ring pattern but I love yours. I love the scrappy centers in the circles. That is so pretty.

I'd say you handled that challenge just fine. Stunning quilt, both back and front!

Darren and Debbie B---I had to go back and check out the pictures that you both posted - they are both beautifully done and the quilting, colors and applique are amazing!!! Quilter 65 and Leslie, thank you for concerns regarding our little grandson. Prayer and excellent medical treatment have done miracles - he is now home and weighs over 9 #. Of course he is the cutest baby ever - but lives way too far away from this grandma. I see more trips to Texas in my future:).
