You did a great job and learned so much. You are ready for the next project. It will be a great reminder of all those lessons. But only you and everyone on the board have to know.

Your pattern choice, fabric choice and your workmanship is great. Keep up the good work. We all learn by doing....even after a lot of years of doing it. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, what a delightful quilt to have near your desk. From your story, you learned many things and I hope that enjoying what you are doing will be at the top of the list. :-) Congratulations and welcome to the board!

Well, I like it! Now stop apologizing for doing something that most people would kill to be able to do as well as you did! :)

debcavan 01-23-2013 06:40 PM

The first thing I noticed was the fabric choices. I love it.

I love it! You did a great job...and that little piece of binding is very artistic!

I think you are being a little hard on yourself. This little quilt is finished, serves a purpose, very pleasant to look at, you are admired by your co-workers, and think of all the lessons you learned.

Sewfine 01-23-2013 07:51 PM

It is beautiful to me. Someone on this board once said, "Quilters are to hard on themselves." or something like that. I did the same thing when designing my Mother's Day wall hanging last year. Did not measure for seam allowance. Keep up the good work. We learn something with each project.

It is a masterpiece! I love the pattern, the fabrics and the backing is perfect! As for the binding, well, that little scrap of binding belongs in this quilt. it gives the entire quilt an extra dash of personality! Great job.
