I work a lot with flannel. & have never had a problem with puckers. I use flannel a lot for backing & love it. We can get puckers with any fabric!!

It looks great. Did you wash the flannel first? Maybe that would have reduced the stretching and puckers?

Beautiful quilt, since flannel can be so unpredictable I love to use it as the backing and stick to regular cottons for the front, I did do a corduroy quilt when I was younger and it was really warm yes I used flannel for backing.

Hello, yes I washed & dried the flannel. I know that flannel will shrink up & it still stretched as I sewed the top, fleece for batting & then flannel for the back. Not a perfect quilt, but a very soft & warm one. :)
