I tried paper piecing but had a heck of a time peeling the paper off. Must be an easy solution but I havn't found i.t

As I said, I am a beginner and this was my first attempt, but my instructor said to lay your piece on a flat surface, start with the last piece you sewed (not #1) and tear gently. It's also important to use small stitches when sewing. Mine came off pretty easily and we just used copy paper for the pattern. I would like to try it with vellum so that you can see where you are placing your pattern. That was the hardest part for me.
