Love the repeat of the Dresden in the blank spots.

Sneed 06-09-2014 07:39 AM

You did a great job all around. I love the way you quilted the dresden design in the open areas. Very well done.

Oh my goodness that is beautiful. The piano keys really help set it off. I think you did a great job.

You captured the essence of the quilt blocks with your beautiful quilted flowers. And you did not cover the rest of it with extraneous, dense quilting. Perfect, I think.

I fully agree with everyone, great job and love the quilted design.

If all disasters could look this good there would be fewer worries in the world. It is so charming. I love it. The blocks look huge! Using a petal motif in the open areas nicely mimics the plates. I would call this a treasure, for sure!
peace

A co-worker asked me to finish this quilt. Her mother (who passed away 10+ years ago) had pieced the blocks, but never joined them. I added the setting blocks, the blue border and the piano key border, and the backing. Then quilted it. This is my first "custom" quilt - that is, not just FMQ or panto's.
Please tell me this is not a disaster.
