Fantastic job on your quilt!

I love the look of scallos but am waaaaaaaaaay too "a'scared" to do them myself. But after seeing this beautiful quilt of yours, maybe I'll try. No, I'm still too scardey! You should be happy with this because it's a fabulous quilt... the colors, the pattern, the edging, the whole 9... love it!!!

It's delightful, and the minute I saw it I knew I had to put a scalloped edge on a doll quilt I'm making. Thanks for posting this.

I love scalloped edges but they scare me. Your freezer paper idea makes it seem possible. Thanks for sharing the great quilt and the great tip!

That is a beautiful country-chic quilt! I love the striped binding - so clever!

I have the perfect little white wicker rocking chair if you are looking for a home for your quilt!

What a beautiful quilt! The fabric just calls out for that kind of scalloped border treatment. Love the striped binding, I'm a sucker for pink and green. I just love the whole thing, great job!

EvelynJ 06-14-2012 04:32 PM

You indeed should be very please and very proud. It is perfect, the colors and pattern were made for each other.

Beautiful quilt, Judys. I love everything about it.

QuiltnLady1 06-14-2012 04:48 PM

Very pretty!! You did a great job with the scallops! That no-math method to determine the size of the scallops makes them so much easier.

redquilter 06-14-2012 05:00 PM

Such a lovely quilt. I love the fabrics and the scalloped edge is perfect.

Cindy60545 06-15-2012 03:13 AM

I love this quilt! You did an excellent job on the whole thing! But, what impressed me the most was your consideration of the longarmer. You marked the top as to where you were cutting the scallops...you didn't cut them til after it was quilted. This made it easier on the longarmer. So many times quilters cut the scallops before hand & then the quilt is hard to load on our frames. We strive to keep the quilts square & uniform as we're quilting them & any help we can get from the piecer makes it easier on us. Thanks!

callen 06-15-2012 03:40 AM

Looks so vintage, beautiful floral fabric, soft colors. You did a great job, the scallops add a peppermint twist frame . I love the striped binding and the green marbled backing.
