My First Quilt
 

Just finished my first quilt! I know it's not great but I am so pleased that it's finished. I actually made it for a friend, but am not sure if I should give it to her - it's my first quilt so it's not great, and - It's my FIRST quilt! What does anyone think?

It's great and you did a wonderful job ~ but being your first quilt I think you should keep it!

Keep your first so you can look back and tell how good you are becoming. Don't give it away.

Outstanding first quilt! You should keep that one and offer to make your friend a different or copy of that one.

My first quilt was made for my great nephew and was so inspired by the result I continue to make them. Do what your heart tells you to do. Your first quilt is beautiful! Did you also quilt it yourself? The flower design is lovely.

I think you did a wonderful job. It's a lovely quilt - certainly good enough to gift - but you might want to keep it. My first "quilt" was a Christmas tree skirt that I kept, but my first "real" quilt went to my granddaughter. Either way, you should be very pleased with your accomplishment.

It is wonderful. If you decide to gift it (any recipient would be grateful!) take a picture for your records. I've made many and am finally keeping one..... Do as you wish.... sometimes gifting is more fun.
