Wow, My first quilt sure didn't look that good. Nice jobs.

jmoore 01-02-2014 04:36 AM

You certainly set the bar as far as first quilts go... Your applique, piecing, borders and FMQ are beautiful. You must be very proud.

sewhat540 01-02-2014 04:44 AM

If this is your first, I want to see the second, third and 44th. Beautiful. Just it being square or even is amazing in its self.

mariatherese 01-02-2014 04:54 AM

Both are great quilt, and work and add to your stash so when you retire you can go to town.

Nice job Jackie! Yes, you do quilt! I applaud you for doing so much applique. I'm weary of it. So I avoid it at all costs! Welcome to the quilting world! Yes, our day job supports our therapy!

Wild8580 01-02-2014 06:51 PM

Your first quilt, wow! When I think about the first quilts I made, they were very simple patterns I didn't attempt appliqué until many years later. You did a great job!

Angel Bear 01-02-2014 06:57 PM

Both quilts are just gorgeous, and so. . . much better than that rag I called my "first quilt". If this is your beginning point, I can't wait to see what you are doing in a couple of years!

quilt-n-girl 01-02-2014 08:22 PM

I think your first quilt is great, you did an awesome job. Thank you for the pictures. Just set aside a few hours a night, and you will have another one finished in no time. You are always supposed to have time for what you love.
