My first quilt!
 

This is my first quilt and first post! I was going to give it to a friend but hubby told me to keep it and make her another one. Don't have a hand on the quilting yet. Still practicing. Thanks for looking and suggestions/comments.

It's hard to believe that this is your first. It's lovely! You did a nice job of choosing fabrics. That red creates a great punch. Great work! And welcome to the Quilting Board from Minnesota.

Nice choice of patterns to begin with Plee! Not gutsy enough to have done so myself. Your sister's quilting, your assembly....great team you two!!! One suggestion....if and when you give your quilts away, take pictures of them, and look back at them for memories, first, and secondly, to see how you've progressed from this date to the next. You'll certainly be amazed as well as proud of yourselves. Keep up the great work!

You did a very good job. Your quilt is beautiful. Listen to your DH and keep it. My DH told me to keep my first quilt but I gave it away and have wished for many years that I had kept it.

Some of the first quilts these ladies have made are absolutely amazing. I am not sure I would even make that now. The bargello scares me to death. I love your work.
