Mama8c, it is a simple 8 point star pattern. Nothing more than 16 HST (16 x 16, 4 of them on the outer corners), 4 squares ( 16 x 16), and 2 rounds of borders. thank you all for the compliments. i spend more time pinning than most people would i guess, but i try to be very precise. (pssst... don't tell anyone, but i find sitting at my sewing table and pinning to perfection is very relaxing. :) )

I LOVE this quilt! It would be perfect for the king size I want to make for our room! Can you share the exact measurements you used? I can never remember how big to cut a square to make a HST!

AH! I LOVE it!

And it is the PERFECT pattern to use for a quilt for my husband! Hubby is very "simplistic", and I've been trying to find a quilt pattern that would appeal to his tastes. Even the colours are perfect for him!
