My first, second and third quilts
 

I've spent some time perusing through pictures of everyone's quilts, and thought I would go ahead and share the first three I have finished. They are not nearly as intricate as everyone else's, or as gorgeous, but I'm still quite proud of them. :o

My first, for a friend who is having her third baby sometime in May:

My second, one of three Christmas quilts for one of my nieces, from the leftovers of the baby blanket:

I'm already working on my fourth, fifth, and sixth quilts - quickly getting the fourth done. :)

They are my little babies, my quilt/fabric inspectors, and my #1 fans of my quilts - I can never keep them off, even on WIPs!

Hello Knitsnpearls; your quilts are very nice indeed, so clean looking and gentle colouring. Don't worry about everyone else's being different styles or different levels of intricacy; we all learn from other people but must work within our own skill levels. Some like pastels and others like bright gaudy fabrics. Welcome to the Board.

Love the quilts, ktns are icing on the cake. I have an orange tabby like one in photo.. Love them..

Beautiful quilts! I love the colors your used and the modern look of the pattern.

In my opinion, quilts don't always have to be intricate. Simple patterns can do a beautiful looking quilt! Bravo

Beautiful soft colors for a baby quilt. I'm sure your niece loved hers!! I really like the colors and pattern you chose for your throw on the couch. I think you did a fantastic job on all of them!! :) Your kitties are so pretty. I know all about the "help" they offer. LOL!! Mine was the same way and I miss him every day. He went to help the angels with their quilts March 18, 2013.

Very nice. On your first pattern, the baby quilt, I love the movement you get in the quilt with the pattern and fabrics. Adorable.

On the second quilt, I love how you re-used the fabric from the first and it looks very different with the sashing. And, also love the framed monogram. Very elegant.

And the third, already got a stamp of approval by your fur babies. But, I love how you matched up your pillows without being matchy matchy.

I'd say, all 3 are a big hit. Congrats on your finshes.

Beautiful quilts! I think you did a great job on all of them. Can't wait to see no's 4,5 and 6. I had to take a second look at your inspectors. Many years ago, we had two with very similar colouring to yours.

I love the fabrics of the first two! And Rail Fence is my favorite pattern - I just finished one also, but I didn't get any help from a kitty - My dog has to stay downstairs when I sew - lol.

And you should be proud!! If I posted my first three there would not be anything too intricate either. But now, from the looks of these you will no doubt be moving your own bar upward and onward. There is so much to learn on the way up that bar from the importance of that 1/4" seam, to cutting to pressing that it is amazing. You've done a really good job...I'll enjoy watching to see what is next.

Congratulations! That's exciting to finish your first quilt! And then you made two more, one with scraps. Good job! I like the soft, sophisticated colors and how you combined prints. Pretty kitties are doing a fine job showing off your handiwork!

Wow...you have an excellent eye for color and "texture"....If these are your first - you are off to an amazing start !! Combining those geometrics definitely takes these quilts to a higher level. Kudos !!
