First of all, glad you're healing from such a bad accident. Second of all, glad you're back quilting. Beautiful work.

BrendaK 04-21-2014 04:04 AM

We missed you. As others have said, "Glad your back". You couldn't just do a simple quilt huh. You seem like you are well on the way to a complete recovery. Thank God. You did a super job on this quilt. BrendaK

Beautiful quilt! The quilting is awesome!

jeanharville 04-21-2014 07:27 AM

Sorry you had such a terrible fall. Your quilt is a beautiful milestone in your recovery. Do you remember where you bought the yellow fabric? I've been looking for that color and can't seem to find it. I like that buttery value.

amandasgramma 04-21-2014 11:28 AM

:) thanks, all!

Jeanharville......I bought the fabric at Homestead Quilts, in LaPine, Oregon. I don't have the #s or name of the fabric....i used every last bit of it! they have a website, but it's either down temporarily or they closed it. I'll be by there tomorrow, I can stop in and get the info you'd need, if you want. :)

kpross 04-21-2014 11:47 AM

Beautiful quilt! And I love the quilting...congratulations on an amazing recovery!

jeanharville 04-21-2014 12:58 PM

Dee, I would appreciate it if you could get the color name/number and brand for me. Or if they have it to be ordered that info would work too. That color seems to be hard to find around here.. I had about four yards of it, but used it in a quilt and now I'm out.

amandasgramma 04-21-2014 01:32 PM

Will do, jean.....not a problem. ANY excuse to get into the quilt shop :) :)

PenniF 04-21-2014 04:24 PM

#1piecemaker 04-21-2014 04:48 PM

Beautiful quilt and quilting!! I'm so glad you are healing good.

twinkie 04-22-2014 04:07 AM

I know what it is like when you fall. I did that in April of 2012 and had three surgeries on both shoulders. They told me at my age I wouldn't heal as well as a younger person (I'm 72) and I wouldn't be able to work again. I am a cashier at WalMart and have just completed my 1st year back at work. I love your quilting.

EmiliasNana 04-22-2014 04:22 AM

Your quilting is phenomenal, injury or no injury. I wish I could even attempt that with my DSM.

callen 04-22-2014 04:27 AM

You poor dear, what did you do - fall off a cliff ?? Boy, those are some terrible injuries. So glad you are recovering & obviously your work did not suffer - that quilt is beautiful & your quilting is awesome !! Just make sure you don't overdo it as you don't want to relapse in your recovery.

Chis2 04-22-2014 04:41 AM

Very pretty quilt I am glad the accident didn't make you have to give up your quilting hobby.

coopah 04-22-2014 04:49 AM

Normabeth 04-22-2014 05:12 AM

Sweet quilt. Nice quilting.

Friday1961 04-22-2014 07:44 AM

Beautiful quilt! I love the colors, that cheerful yellow with the coral - just gorgeous! Like you, if I made this pattern again, I'd wouldn't offset those triangles but make them the same size. I'm just too anal for that!

Taughtby Grandma 04-22-2014 08:05 AM

Great quilt, congratulations on the healing. So glad you can quilt again.

IzzysGrammie 04-22-2014 08:49 AM

Way to go!!! I shattered my left wrist in 2004 and the cast kept me from damaging my radial movement. Be careful and do not overdo... you don't want to have permanent damage... ok? Take care!

Gracie'sMom 04-22-2014 10:44 AM

Beautiful quilt and quilting.
so glad you are back to doing what you love.

MargeD 04-22-2014 10:47 AM

Love the quilt and I'd say that you did a fantastic job on the quilting. Congratulations on proving your Ortho. surgeon wrong, he must not be familiar with many quilters, particularly, when they can prove them wrong. I had torn my right rotator cuff, did a bang up job of it, but when the Dr. said I couldn't drive for "X" # of months, I had to prove him wrong, especially since my DH cannot drive and I was going stir crazy. I took it easy and then I started quilting my DGD's quilt which I finished Just in time for Christmas Eve.

JanieH 04-22-2014 12:32 PM
