That is wonderful. I like how you made your blocks into sqaures for assembly putting the eight sided blocks together always intimidates me.

You've got the basic idea and there are lots of hints and tips and tutorials to make it doable without the dreaded 'fabric shift'.

CuteBuns has a wonderful tutorial for One Block Wonder quilts in this section as well.

After reading through the posts over several days, I'm feeling lots more confident about tackling one. Just deciding on the fabric now.

Very pretty! Definitely a project to try when I get caught up( hahahahaha, get caught up, hahahahaha) I will just have to go for it one day, yours turned out fantastic.
