My first string quilt
3 Attachment(s)
I got the paper to do a string quilt (from Missouri Star Quilts) with the scraps my mom gave me when she stopped quilting (she's 94 yrs old). But instead I bought a line of fabric called Twice as Nice and did a string quilt for my grand daughter. It turned out great. Don't think the picture shows the colors very well. The only thing it took along time to pull all the paper off especially in the seams and what a mess it made.

beautiful quilt next time if you don`t want tio rip try floriani stitch n wash you just tear off excess and when you wash the quilt it dissolves.
best I ever found for pp Gale |
Beautiful quilt! I use a very light interfacing, it stays in the quilt so no ripping out at all! :)

Beautiful string quilt.

loving the colors.

Lovely quilt!

I use really thin or cheap muslin because I hate tearing paper out of my string quilts. That being said, adding machine tape scrappy is on my list to do. Maybe I should try a small section first!LOL
I love your quilt! Love red and aqua. |
Great string quilt. I agree next time use tear and wash stabilizer. It's wonderful.

It's very pretty!

I also use bridal isle paper, very inexpensive and leave it in. Very nice quilt I love the colors in it, lucky granddaughter.
