My First UFO!!!! A Third Time Around pattern - NOW WHAT?

2 Attachment(s)
I've been quilting a year and it is my very first UFO!Made it to practice the pattern, used some FQ's from my trip to Jinny Beyer shop. A little wonky here and there. The blocks are about 18 1/2" square.

What do you think I should do with it?

Maybe four pillows each with a different color solid? I don't know how to make pillows. uh-oh.

Appreciate any ideas
thanks and Happy new year to all -

I would sew all of the blocks together and make a quilt out of it. The colors are so pretty, very serene. What pattern did you use?

MadQuilter 12-31-2011 01:08 PM

Perfect size for a wallhanging.

Very pretty. I would put a sash on it and sew them together. A nice lap quilt or wall hanging.

Ditto! ... and besides it'd save having to make those pillows!!!! (can you tell I am not a pillow-maker-lover??)

Join them ... and then border them in the same fashion as you bordered the blocks. It'd make a lovely table topper or wall hanging, baby quilt, etc. Or if you have extra fabric a couple more blocks and you could have a small but useful lap quilt.

Love the colours ... a nice soft and refreshing look!

Very pretty blocks, I'm with everyone else. Sew them together, pick a color to border them. Would make a fab wall hanging.

redquilter 12-31-2011 06:12 PM

I think you should give it to me! It's lovely and would make a beautiful quilt. Add some sashing, borders and you're good to go.

Tweety2911 12-31-2011 06:16 PM

If there are just four blocks I would make a table runner with the four blocks side by side. They are really very pretty!

Sadheart 01-01-2012 09:20 AM

Awesome! Love them.
I think you have an awesome start on a beautiful quilt.
Or a beautiful wall hanging. They are soothing as well as inspirational.

northern lass 01-01-2012 09:20 AM

Such beautiful pastel colours. I agree with others, either a baby quilt or a lovely wallhanging.

greenbranch 01-01-2012 09:39 AM

I would use it as a center for a quilt. You could put a row of 2x6 colors around the center and then keep adding around it with different rows.
