My Goodwill finds yesterday...

4 Attachment(s)
Yesterday I did a run-through the local Goodwill store and found 3 "quilty" things! :)

I found 2 jigsaw puzzles about quilts for .85 cents each and then a wooden quilt block that is about 12" square.

I have already hung the wooden quilt block piece in my quilting room.

Two years ago my DS & DDIL put a quilt puzzle together, framed it, and gifted it to me for Christmas and it is hanging in my sewing room. I'm planning on framing the two new puzzles once they are together and hanging them in the sewing room with the one already there! :)

I love the jigsaw puzzles!! My daughter found a neat one in a thrift shop a couple of years ago - still sealed in it's box - and it is now framed and hanging.

Love your framed quilting puzzle. You're going to have such an interesting collection when you add the two new ones. Here's "The Quilting Party" I put together a few years ago (had to photograph it outdoors because the flash inside makes a glare on the modpodge):

I've got that second one; only put the bottom part together and can't get motivated to finish. Really love the one put together by son and daughter in law.

Love your new finds....especially the puzzles. Don't know why I never thought of them. I used to love doing puzzles. I'll have to watch for some. I do have a quilting picture hanging in my sewing room that I love.

Does anyone know where I can purchase/order the puzzle, "Back to Square One" as pictured above. I have been searching websites, but no luck. Thanks. Happy quilting today and I hope the tornadoes have not touched down near you.

Please tell me they were still sealed? I HATE doing a puzzle only to find out a piece is missing! I love the one your DS and DDIL did for you. Good luck.

All the puzzle quilts are beautiful and Daffy's Quilting Party is very nice too.

Love the framed puzzles! I have never thought of doing that.congrats on your find!

earthwalker 03-02-2012 09:29 PM

How cool. They are lovely. I picked up a Royal Worcester mini plate yesterday - Lesley Ann Ivory...cat portrait with a hex quilt in the background. Also bought a vintage cushion - was a bit smelly so I took the cover off and washed the lot. To my surprise, there was an even older one inside - 2 for the price of one.

I work jigsaw puzzles all the time. I always keep any with quilts or horses in them. I have several and you can find so many on the internet. I need to check Goodwill more often.

Looks Mennonite, very homey love all the activity in the scenes, all the interaction between adults and children.
Reminds me of Norman Rockwell.
