Norah, that is just beautiful!! Hexagons are one of my fears, although not as much since Patrice's class in chat. As my mil would say, "I wish I had that one and you had something prettier :) "

I have always wanted to do one of those but never had the guts to start it...how long did it take you? did you do it by machine or hand? AWESOME :) |
Fantastic!

Oh my! I envy you. Your quilt is gorgeous. I started one a year ago, and of course I only have 20 blocks done out of 51. Congrats on getting it done. I think I will down load your pic and hang it on my fridge to remind me there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is beautiful.
|
Looks just perfect, I know I don't have the patience to cut and sew all those loittle pieces. It's beautiful :D
|
What a great quilt.....wonderful colors.... |
Norah, What a lovely piece of work! I really like how the smaller hexs look & gives you a better amount of the flowers. Makes it look more antique, I think.
I wish I had done the smaller hexs when I made mine. But I didn't so.. maybe the next one? Great job! Riley |
Riley, is that avatar your quilt?? Absolutely stunning!

Thank you very much Norah, you are very kind! The avatar is one of the quilts I made with all hexs. It was a quilt as you go type quilt.
Cut out, stuff, then slip stitch together.(I won't try that again, preferring to stick to regular stitching & quilting!) I do wish I had of made my hexs smaller on the GFG, as said earlier. May I ask what size your hexs are? They are just right! I think my next one will be one made of 1930 Repos.(when I get finished with all these other things! ) |
Riley, that is a beautiful quilt, and I think the hexagons are a perfect size!
|
That is absolutely gorgeous! I love the pattern and the colors are wonderful! You are very talented.
|
Beautiful job. I am planning on making one as one of my later projects.
|
Beautiful work. Bet it took a long time.

A far braver person than I will ever be to tackle all those little hexagons and by hand.
