Connie, Cute chicken pincushions. Are you using sand for them. I am making some pincushions (not chickens) and I am using crushed walnut shells to stuff them. I got it at the pet store. I guess they use it for litter for bird cages.

I use crushed walnut shells in mine.
Get them at the pet store, they use them for reptile liter. I shy away from sand and rice for it can take on the humidity in the air and cause the pins to rust down the road. Do you have a pattern for them, would love making them for my shop pals? |
