Back in May 2013 Recurver posted her Hexagon Mini "art" work journey, which I fell in love with.
Here is my version - thank you for the inspiration Recurver ! |
And now you've inspired me to do one :)
Your binding fabric is perfect for this mini quilt. |
Very nicely done. I also enjoy and get inspired by other hexagons quilts posted here in the Photo section.
Beautiful!! What an inspiration! Makes me want to pick up my hexies again.
How very pretty and such a nice mounting on the black, really makes the hexie flowers glow. Even your binding is a great addition to the attraction factor.

A very good job. Fine fabric/color choices.
Pretty quilt. I like the colors. Hexagons are on my to do list.
Thank you for all your very kind replies. The little quilt measures 8" x 18" and each side of the hexie measures 1/2"
I love making little hexies - they are really handy to take to appointments and sewing groups for just easy hand sewing. At the moment I am making little hexie Christmas tree ornaments which are going to our local hospital where they have a craft table. The proceeds will go to the hospitals appeal for a new breast cancer screening machine - which has cost thousands of pounds - a very worthwhile appeal. Thank you all once again. |
The colors of the quilt bring it to life. Lovely work! Yes the binding brings it altogether.
beautiful, colorful, fun... I really like the black background, it makes all your hexies pop!
Absolutely beautiful! Nice work, Dotty!
Very pretty....love how the black background makes those little jewels glow.
This inspires me to try a mini quilt. I know I would never finish a Grandmother's flower garden bed sized quilt, but I would love to try something like this. It is very pretty and creative. I really like your composition.
Lovely colors and great design.
