Red binding is my vote.

It turned out well. I think the brown would be nice.

I thought you did a great job!

The quilt is beautiful, did you hand piece it? I made a grandmothers flower garden and hand pieced then appliqued to a 16"sq and made a quilt as big as a bedspread. Love it

It's just lovely, I know your boss is going to love it.

Oh my goodness. You did a fantastic job. It is beautiful.

you did a good job. I have tried to do this by just templates and sewing them together, and never got far but have you ever tried the old English way? You trace around your template on paper. then you cut the material 1/4 inch around the paper. then with a running stitch turn the edges over and baste them down to the paper. then stitch them together. its easier and more acurate to cut the papers. when you have them all stitched together, rip out the papers. this is the method I used and it went together great. of course it's done by hand.

You did a beautiful job on this. If it were me, I would only use one color for the border, but whatever you decide, it will be beautiful.
|
You did a wonderful job placing the colors and retaining your sanity. I love it. I think your idea for a brown and then red border is perfect. Would the brown be wide and the red narrow?
|
great work, I started a charm quilt about 10 years ago and said I might be done when I was 60, I don't think I'm going to make it before then, that's only 3 years away.
I suggest some color for your inner borarder that is not exactly any of what you have or something will disappear into the boarder. How about some kind of off white and then a darker color like your red and/or brown. |
