Some of you may remember I wanted some help trying to decide on how to make a house quilt for a young man whose last name is House. I used a free pattern for the house and the trees. I think it turned out OK and he was thrilled with it. He has a very rustic little house and it seems at home there.

These little houses are so cute. I like that you used some shell pink for some of them. Reminds me of the little stucco homes of florida. Too bad you didn't put a flamingo in one of the yards.... LOL. Just kidding, you know.
I am sure he was thrilled with the quilt ... who wouldn't?? |

Love your quilt!!
|
Actually, the material may appear pink but it is beige. He asked for all neutrals and I had loads of browns from other projects. The tree was my favorite. The patterns are off of Forest Home Quilting site. I had to enlarge the house but the tree I left the same size as on the site, I just had to figure how to use it in the quilt. The houses are kinda wonky but there are 12 seams across and with the differences in the material they were not all the same when I was done. I had to square them up. I wanted a guy quilt and I think I got that. Thanks to all of you for the compliments.

Great quilt!!! I love the trees in the corners.
|
