I started this mini last week and it's one of my favorite patterns. I drew up the pattern of the size I wanted and decided I only wanted to use 1/4 of the pattern (instead of the whole half) so I could rearrange the blocks better. Now I wish I hadn't done that as the blocks would have met better. I did have to handsew the blocks and rows together to help it meet accurately. We live and we learn. This one is PP and I've included the pattern. Only half the pattern is shown. You'll need to do 2 of them and join together for a complete block. It's 2l" square and the blocks finish at 3-1/2". This one is for a baby charity and the colors are true to the camera! Hope you enjoy my mini like I do!! :-D

Thanks so much for the pattern! One look at your quilt, and I knew I had to make one.
I drafted the design to make 4" blocks (because I happened to have a 4 1/2" square ruler in reach). I'm thinking of sewing all 8 pieces around the block and just slashing the paper to fold and sew the last seam. Has anyone tried that? |

Thanks for sharing your pattern! I am hoping to do this one soon...and was trying to come up with a pattern where the pieces were wider. Quilterscache has one with thinner strips....so thank you very very much!
And I love your mini! |
