I didn't see any finished quilts so maybe members of the family did take them...at least I hope so. There was one machine in the closet but there was just too much piled on top of it to see what was in the cabinet. Also there was very little thread, considering how much fabric there was...a few spools that I know were new because they were C and C made in Mexico. It was mainly rulers, fabric and lots and lots of books and magazines. I thought I had a lot but my collection is minute next to hers. So I just got the newer ones that I had been wanting. I did find one small batik wall quilt that hopefully was made by her...all it says on the back is "made in 2003". I'm going to make another label with the yard sale info so she won't be forgotten even tho I don't know her name.

Wow! those are great finds. Good Job. I wish I can find something like that here in our area. I've gone to Goodwill storessss but they do not even carry fabrics or yarns, just old clothes, shoes, & mainly junk.

It was a "whatever" price. She just wanted it gone. I did notice another listing for the next day, Sunday, saying there was still a lot more sewing and kitchen stuff so evidently the sale did not go too well. This was a once in a lifetime for me...that's why I called it the last hurrah. I have enough to last me the rest of my lifetime...then it's my daughter's inheritance.

debbieoh 03-16-2011 03:13 PM

meanmom 03-16-2011 03:28 PM
