I made a attic window and I'm left handed and they faced like linz83. I just love how it turned out with the panel. It looks perfect - looking out the window

Wonderful work!

It is like looking through a window. Beautiful, work. I know your friend will cherish it. Thanks for doing something for a cancer patient. My mom passed away from cancer. I am going on 2 yrs as a survivor, and have never really felt like I've had it, thyroid cancer and was caught extremely early, so God blessed me with being free for now anyway, and I feel like from now on at least from that cancer.

I love it; actually saw some red bud trees in bloom today on my drive from the church service for a friend who died of carcinoid cancer after a four year battle. Your quilt looks so "Spring" !

I NEVER thought of doing this w/panel! Know I have at least ONE panel hiding in my stash. thanks for the wonderful idea.

I know your friend will love it. I've made several comfort quilts and they are always appreciated.

I can see why you would be sad to let it go. But she will love it! The giving part of quilting is the part I like the best

Reminds me of cherry blossoms in DC. I love this quilt and I am smiling so I know your dear friend will smile as she holds her quilt and think of the wonderful friend that made it for her.

What a lovely quilt........ what an extrodinary gift !! Awesome.

Sierra 02-27-2011 04:16 PM

Surprised that people didn't make remarks on the fact that you use an agitating washer! I have always presumed that all quilters will get a front loader as soon as their old one starts acting funny. I got mine this past year and it is sooo gentle with everything. (I still put sweaters in mesh bags, etc.) It doesn't torque fabric or allow it to catch on anything. Wonderful!

I would have never thought about doing attic windows on a panel like that, but it is a totally amazing look!

It's such a happy quilt - I am sure it will bring a smile to your friend's face.
