Here is what I have been working on since I put away the Orange Crush Mystery Quilt (UFO.)
 I figure the way prices are going up, I will really need extra bed quilts this winter, and since I have only ever made one for me, I got myself to the front of the line! This is the Boxy Stars pattern from Quiltville.com and the finished blocks are 16 inches. There are going to be either 42, or 49 blocks, depending on when I run out of these scraps. My bed is a California King with head and foot boards, so if I go with the 49 blocks (7 rows of 7) it can tuck in and fit a different bed some day. UPDATE October 30, 2008 This one is all done, bound and on my bed! Boy did we sleep well under it last night! Thanks Jackie for doing such a great job on the quilting! Quilted by Jacquemoe! It really is fun to just pick 2 colors and start sewing! I chain piece them quickly so that they go together faster and I don't have time to rethink my choices. Just keep grabbing and feeding the machine! My bedroom walls are light blue so I wanted to make a quilt to coordinate. The seashell fabric that makes up the sashing was my focus fabric and I pulled the other colors from it. |
Very interesting. Sometimes I focus on the box, other times I focus on the stars.
That's a really neat pattern. |
