I love the quilt and have not read all of the replies so forgive a duplicate idea, but I think it is a good place for an artfully placed random block made of the scraps from your center.

Things are always fixable. Put an applique over it, or a strip of blocks from the front. good luck.

Your cup is really half full, so don't waste any time on this . There are many solutions and a lot depends on the location and size of the hole. Since you so brilliantly pieced and quilted this lovely quilt I'm sure your artistry will make it look planned with a label. block or whatever.

It's such a lovely piece of art that no one will do much careful examination of the back. It's the front that catches the eye.

That is where my thinking was going also. Mend the area, then quilt it, and it should scarcely be noticeable. Good luck, it's a beauty!
