Very very pretty! How long does it take you to make a bowl like that? I'm assuming from your description that you have made enough of them to know what you are doing, and to have an efficient technique, so I am curious how many hours (days?) that would take.

Definitely on my bucket list, too.

Alison

Lovely idea......... I understand that stitching these bowls is hard on the machine...... do you have an old machine you use or isn't that true???

I wrap the clothesline when watching tv, about 2 hrs. To sew it together about 30 minutes.

Use cotton clothesline, a 90/14 needle & a clean bobbin area. I used my Bernina Activa, no problem.

I like the way you finished it off with a swirl. The colors are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

Sophie2 04-27-2012 11:23 AM

Love the fabric you used. Nice and bright. How do you get the swirl to stay? Glue? Stitching? I have made a couple. I use one everyday that keeps my cleansers and facial creams in. I will have to make more.

javin22 04-27-2012 11:25 AM

That sure is pretty. Thanks for sharing

I have done both, fabric bond and stitching.
