Maybe I worded my comment incorrectly. My DH is very proud of my work and compliments me all the time. As I finish a block, he takes it in his hands, runs his fingers lovingly over my stitches and says how this quilt will be a masterpiece. He tells me every one is beautiful. We've been married 50 years and he's always loved my sewing/quilting talents. That's probably WHY we've managed to stay together all this time.
And I did go add up the number of pieces (wasn't hard I was writing down how many on each block anyway). I've stitched on 1063 tiny pieces of fabric and not 1/2 way done yet.
