Natalie(grandbaby) is 3 now and has graduated from pretend stuff to real. She cut all these apart for me and took out all the pins. She is so much FUN!!!

She's so cute and you're both soooo lucky to have each other.

What a sweetie!

I go To The Sea To Breathe 05-18-2010 12:26 PM

And very smart..How sweet. There are kids that are tested to enter kindergarten and have never even held a pair of sicissors. Not mine, they learn to color and cut practically in the high chair,,,,enjoy your little helper. so pretty.

Rhonda 05-18-2010 12:27 PM

She looks so industrious and she is so cute to work on that so diligently!! You are truly blessed!

MamaBear61 05-18-2010 12:45 PM

Looks like you two will have alot of fun sewing together.

SherriB 05-18-2010 12:55 PM

She is an adorable quilting helper! My granddaughter is 4 and loves to help me. She keeps begging for a sewing machine of her own. I hope she still wants one when she is older.

marsye 05-18-2010 12:56 PM

WOW!!!!! Can I borrow her for a few years!!!????

quiltsRfun 05-18-2010 01:04 PM

Looks like she's a good helper. Wish my little one lived closer. She's only 1-1/2 but soon will be of an age where we could do projects together.

ann clare 05-18-2010 01:07 PM

Lucky you with such a good helper.

Very pretty little helper.

clem55 05-18-2010 01:50 PM

what a doll!! I've got two granddaughters, and they both liked to help Mamaw seww at that age. The 8 year old likes to help , but the 21 ( almost) doesn't anymore. It was and is so much fun with the little ones, so really enjoy it while you can!

Ir's amazing what they can do.

Marjpf 05-18-2010 02:18 PM

She's adorable. How wonderful that you get to spend time together. Keep teaching her, she's our next generation of quilters.

barnbum 05-18-2010 03:18 PM

Oh gosh--I want an adorable helper just like that....is she for lease?

JanetM 05-18-2010 03:57 PM

What a cutie she is :!: If she can handle a pair of scissors at her tender age...she ought to be sewing very soon. It's probably just a matter of time before she asks to use your machine. Wouldn't that be fun to share that with her? She is adorable :-D

sandpat 05-18-2010 03:59 PM

Your helper looks much more accomplished than mine and much cuter to boot! Of course, mine don't have useable thumbs...

dojo36 05-18-2010 05:20 PM

I second this!

ajpadilla 05-19-2010 06:32 AM

I read an article a while back about the rising number of children and teenagers who are taking up quilting. I think it's great! Children are fearless. You not only are helping her get in touch with her creative side early on, but you are building wonderful memories!

omak 05-19-2010 07:52 AM

WOW! I will have to remember those little jobs for the young ones in my life ... very creative, Grandmother <wave>

RedGarnet222 05-19-2010 08:05 AM

Wow What a beautiful child. Those eyes are hauntingly beautiful.
She sure looks like she is fully interested in her task.
My four year old niece helps me some too. It sure is fun to hear what they have to say about things during the day.

Tippy 05-19-2010 08:07 AM

Precious baby.. or maybe I should say young lady.

Lyn4ty 05-19-2010 09:21 AM

what a little cutie! Get them started young and they will thank you for it in years to come.

reginalovesfabric 05-19-2010 09:44 AM

beautiful helper, I hope my granddaughter wants to learn to sew since I own 11 machines, someone needs to get these when I'm gone, my friend tells me there will be a room in heaven for us quilters. So God will provide the machines and the fabric, wonder if we'll fight over it.

canmitch1971 05-19-2010 10:08 AM

I had my little 3 year old Granddaughter helping me a while ago. I bought a pair of blunt ended scissors and gave her scraps to cut up. She loved it.

sewNso 05-19-2010 11:29 AM

i want a helper just like that.

MelissaK 05-19-2010 11:37 AM

My daughter just turned 2. I know I can't wait!!!! My son helps out when he wants to and he likes it too... but a mother always wishes her daughter will do it.

Rose Lee 05-19-2010 04:24 PM

So cut, beautiful eyes. She will be a good quilter with the help of grandma. Nice to include kids on projects.

Annz 05-19-2010 05:24 PM

I hope she continues to help you because she could be the next great quilter. I wish I had had a quilter in my family or friends while I was growing up.

ProudGranny5 05-19-2010 06:42 PM

She is sooooo cute & what a helper. Grandchildren are 'so special' what a blessing from God.
NOW IF you would like to help me how to figure out how to do this with 5 grandchildren; it would be a great help.
With 2 sets of twins, 1 can't do something without the other.

Gramof6 05-19-2010 07:12 PM

AWWW What a darling little helper. And she is so serious! You are so very very blessed. I don't get to see my DGD's often & they would not be impressed with sewing anyway. *sigh* Enjoy your little one. She will be making her own quilt soon. She is so cute!
