Sometimes solids are just the way to go...they provide bold, simply lines without the "clutter" of a print getting in the way. Excellent study in the use of line and color. I love all three of them...congrats....

I use solids as 'fillers', will have to do a solid quilt now. LOL

Oh wow! I've avoided solid fabrics (usually go for tone on tone) unless I wanted an Amish look, but I think you've changed my mind. These are all just stunning. Great work!

They are all lovely. You could clear up some of the difficult piecing by starching your fabric before you cut out anything. Buy Sta-Flo starch at Walmart and mix it half and half with water. Spray your damp fabric and press dry. Try one block and I think you will be very pleased.

Yes, the cubes were difficult to piece, the other two were piece of cake. I used my own patterns, for cubes you can find books. |
