I made this quilt for my grandson Ryan last year. It is by far my favorite quilt I have made. I first saw this quilt on the cover of a quilt magazine and I loved it. It was so fun to make.

that was my DD's favorite book when she was young. I still know it by heart. (she's 28). My GS laughs when I recite it to him.
I would like that quilt for me. :) Can to share where the book and pattern were? Maybe it's still available. Thanks! Barb P.S. I still can remember some of my older dd's favorite book. I used to hide it on her- wish I could find it now. Starts out- Oh, Captain Kitty where have you been? I've been sailing the ocean blue with my good friend Mew. That would be about 30 years ago (she's 33). |

Hello, I orginally saw the quilt on a quilt magazine cover. I found the designs at Oregon Patchwork Design Mall online. They now have the complete designs and directions to make the quilt on their website. It is called Monkey Shines Quilt.

I saw the book "Captain Kitty" by Godfrey Lynn on Amazon.com. I bet this would make a great gift for your daughter now, I bet she has wonderful memories of you reading it to her :)
