quilting.addict 09-30-2011 10:02 AM

How wide is that throat opening? I am researching a different machine for me to do FMQ....
Let us know if you're happy with this choice.

Tink's Mom 09-30-2011 10:14 AM

You are going to love her!!!
Now don't forget to give her drinks of oil very often...She has convenient oil holes in the base and on top.

I have seen it called 6x9, but also 6x8.5...

There is another model, the 2010 that has a speed control option.

QuiltnLady1 09-30-2011 10:49 AM

Congratulations -- beautiful machine. I have an older version on a grace frame and love it.

sonisew 09-30-2011 11:12 AM

I am soooo happy for you!!!!

Karenjane 09-30-2011 04:50 PM

You will love it. I love mine, it's so nice to FMQ without having to coax your machine to do what you want. The Juki knows, it knows.

Rumbols 09-30-2011 04:50 PM

Congrats, she looks lovely.

Ladyjanedoe 09-30-2011 05:12 PM

If I had it to do all over again I think I might take a closer look at that machine.I've heard good things. But luckily, the gals here on this site helped me iron out the kinks on my Janome so I've reconsidered tossing out the back window.
Enjoy your weekend! I'm thrilled for you!

crafdldy 09-30-2011 06:20 PM

I also have a JUKI.I love it and now you will too. It's a great machine. Congratulations

Very Nice

jpmaroni 10-01-2011 03:22 AM

Sweet looking machine! congrats...

jitkaau 10-01-2011 03:26 AM

I have this one except that it is called a Brother Nouvelle 1500s. It is my understanding that Juki made them for Brother. It is the best machine I have (in spite of owning a top of the range other brand that cost thousands more).
It is an excellent FMQ machine and sews through many layers of denim easily. You should enjoy this one.

Elisabeth J 10-01-2011 03:52 AM

I have the same one !!! I love it. It works the best I have ever seen for FMQ. Congratulations.

cyniree 10-01-2011 04:19 AM

Nice. hope you have a fun weekend with her. :)

Bren 10-01-2011 04:24 AM

She's a beauty. Enjoy!

Noiseynana 10-01-2011 05:44 AM

deanneellen 10-01-2011 05:47 AM

Be sure to let us know how you like FMQing on this machine. I am starting to do some research and would love to know what you think of this one.

Tweety2911 10-01-2011 05:48 AM

WooHoo, Oh happy dance for you! Look forward to seeing some of your FMQ:-)

katsewnsew 10-01-2011 05:55 AM

I have the Brother Nouvelle, also, and it is my "go to" machine for all straight sewing tasks......It is almost identical to this Juki......Love it! and will never part with it!
