Good for you

I see quilts, table runners, placemats, wall hangings, table toppers - whatever your mom likes - in her future! What a great surprise!

Very nice, and even more so coming from mom.

YOu will like this machine. I have one of the first Babylock Esante's. I don't use it as much as I should. It has the embroidery attachment with it, too.
I have a Bernina 160 that I love for piecing quilts. But the Babylock is a great machine for other sewing projects. Especially if I want to do some fancier stitches!.
How nice of your MOM...hope she got a big hug for that!

Lol...that would be hard to do. And I'm sure sleeping is going to take some work also. Enjoy!

How exciting! I have an Esante and I love mine. I've had it for almost 10 years now, I think. It doesn't look like that one but I bet they work the same. Play around with the stitches, read the manual, and just try lots of things. I find that making a sample of many of the stitches on a large scrap of fabric is helpful as a future reference. (Mine also has an embroidery feature, with attachments and hoops, but I confess I have never used them. One day I will explore them too.)

You will love it. I have a Ellegante 2 and I use mine ever day. I love to do embroidery. Have fun with it. If you need help just PM me.

Good for you. Don't know anything about. Some quilt shop owners will train you on how to get the most use out of your new machine. Now stop jumping.

I just got this machine. Bought it on Ebay in April. Love it. Am having all kinds of fun learning how to use it.
PS: its easy to learn too

You'll love her! I started with an older one & bought a new one last year. She can almost sew herself!
