Here are some pictures of the sun room of the house we are renting while DH is working here in SC. I have turned it into my sewing room. Check out the view!!! I have just started setting it up and it is taking a little time as I only have one hand to work with and DH helps when he gets home but he puts in long hours so I don't ask him to do much. I will send updated pics once I get it like I want it but I was so excited about it I wanted to show you some pics now. On the side is wooded, at the end where the porch is is a view of the lake.

hcarpanini 02-10-2010 12:48 PM

Don't think I would get much sewing done. Would just stare out all those windows.

craftinggrandma 02-10-2010 12:54 PM

Awesome how lucky you are

marla 02-10-2010 12:58 PM

Are you at Lake Moltrie? Love the view. i would put the sew machine at the back of the room so you can look beyond the work area, with your back against the wall. Please send more pics when you are settled in.

susie0808 02-10-2010 01:04 PM

We are at Keowee Key in Salem SC just outside of Clemson. I am already dreading having to leave here in a year.

How beautiful. It would be like sewing outdoors without the bugs. I'm afraid I wouldn't get much done with a view like that.

Ilovemydogs 02-10-2010 01:32 PM

Totally drooling. Nice room!!!

littlehud 02-10-2010 01:33 PM

What a wonderful room. Such a pretty view.

Oklahoma Suzie 02-10-2010 01:33 PM

What a view, just be sure to keep your fabric out of the sun.

Jim's Gem 02-10-2010 01:51 PM

It has wonderful light, I was just thinking, be careful with your fabrics you don't want them fading on you!!

MamaBear61 02-10-2010 01:59 PM

Great space and great light, you are going to have so much fun in that room

thequilteddove 02-10-2010 02:02 PM

omg! If you let me move in w/you, I'll quilt all your tops for you lol

belmer 02-10-2010 02:03 PM

I can just see me with all my outdoor woodsey quilts that I love to make. This is right up my alley. I could use my portch that faces the lake and is wall to wall windows but We have no heat in that room. Ahhhhhhh maybe someday. I'm very happy for you, there are alot of quilter people who would love to have that much space.

wvdek 02-10-2010 02:06 PM

Enjoy it while you can. Does it get hot in summer or don't you know yet?

Dont know yet, but it has a window unit in there if I need it. It faces the east so it will get morning sun which is not bad.

Rachelcb80 02-10-2010 02:24 PM

Oh how serene and peaceful! Lots of great inspiration out those windows! It'll be hard to leave it after the year is up!

barnbum 02-10-2010 03:04 PM

No I will keep all of my fabric in the bin or in the cabinet. Or hopefully I will be too busy using it all to worry about it having time to fade. :) :) But will have to wait and see what happens at the dr's on Monday with my wrist. If is has a fracture don't know what they are gonna do yet.

Chrys 02-10-2010 04:57 PM
