Knot Sew 07-15-2007 07:40 AM

Question...........Did you use a white fabric also and what is the size on this?.......I have some pink I could use. :D

Country Quilter 07-15-2007 07:54 AM

Yes, the plain white squares are also 2 1/2 inch squares... when I did this before I considered not cutting the white but thought it would look more uniform if I did and then just sew it back together...I'm sure it could be done either way tho.

Oh Patsy, what a wonderful quilt that will be. I am glad you showed it all as I have never done or seen that before. I'll take it when done

I have never seen that done before. It is sooo clever! Puts a whole new spin on looking at my stash for future projects.

I could even make a chili pepper wreath with the fabric I don't know what do with!

The chile pepper wreath would be great, as I love peppers, material, hanging, etc.

did you fussy cut all of those squares or just strip cut and the place as needed , light or darK? Quilter 1234

I love that!! How big are your squares?

Country Quilter 07-30-2007 06:57 AM

I just strip cut the material in 2 1/2 inch strips, then into 2 1/2 inch squares and placed them where I thought they looked good. If I thought an area needed something in particular then I did fussy cut a few squares if I couldn't find one already cut but for the most part I didn't need to do that.

Thanks for the nice compliments!
