That is pretty.
It is amazing what the blocks look like after they are cut up.

AlienQuilter 01-05-2011 12:53 PM

Wow - beautiful! You sure picked the right fabric!

Are you going to use a black background like Kona black?

clem55 01-05-2011 12:54 PM

that is going to be beautiful!

ann clare 01-05-2011 12:59 PM

Beautiful so far

pioneerlady 01-05-2011 01:01 PM

I just picked up a book at the library on stack and whack. Can hardly wait to go get fabric. Your fabric is beautiful.

deema 01-05-2011 01:18 PM

Oooh, those are some pretty blocks! I just got my fabric in the mail that I ordered for my OBW. I CANNOT wait to get started on it...but I have to wait. I'm in the middle of two projects, one that was promised a long time ago, and another that I need to finish quickly...so I have to get those done, first.

sueisallaboutquilts 01-05-2011 01:18 PM

Wow, those are beautiful!!!!!!!!!! :D

amma 01-05-2011 01:21 PM

That is turning out beautiful. I love the way those look. I have similar fabric and I want to do the same thing.

kriscraft99 01-05-2011 01:32 PM

Oh I love these! My question is what is the difference between stack & whack and the one block wonder?

bdship 01-05-2011 01:34 PM

Beautiful blocks, can't wait to see it all come together.
Wish I knew how to do those.

raedar63 01-05-2011 02:02 PM

cutebuns did a tute on it just need to be able to cut on 60 degree angle, so you can check under that. this is my first one

redquilter 01-05-2011 03:05 PM

That's gorgeous - keep us posted as you go a long. I can't wait to see the finished product.

hperttula123 01-05-2011 03:41 PM

I just can't believe how awesome these turn out. Great choice of fabric. :) can't wait to see it finished.

dsb38327 01-05-2011 03:59 PM

Thank you for taking us on your journey through the work in progress photos. I think the pattern is magic. To take the solid piece of fabric in your first photo and turn it into so many different portraits is amazing to me. That pattern is on my list but it will probably be 2012. Good luck, it is going to be gorgeous.

QuiltingHiker 01-05-2011 04:03 PM

The middle picture with the blue roses is stunning!!! Did you fussy cut?

Jingle 01-05-2011 04:08 PM

alaskasunshine 01-05-2011 04:17 PM

What beautiful fabric you chose! I love the tiny dots on it, that makes it look so airy and pretty. Please post more pix of your progress so we can ooohhhh and aaahhh along with you!

purple_butterfly 01-05-2011 04:28 PM

Wow! That will definitely be as pretty as you think it will be! I love OBWs   I've started a practice one but it's not as nice as yours ;-)

MrsMoe4487 01-05-2011 04:39 PM

Frankie 01-05-2011 04:49 PM

I ordered a book from the library called One Block Wonders so hopefully in the next couple of days I too will know how to create these beauties. I can't wait. Your squares look great, that's going to be a gorgeous quilt.

Lucymae 01-05-2011 04:53 PM
